KENYA - TANZANIA BUDGET COMBINED
15 DAYS KENYA TANZANIA SAFARI TO SAMBURU/ LAKE
NAKURU/ MASAI MARA/ LAKEMANYARA/ SERENGETI / NGORONGORO
Day 1-Nairobi.
Arrive Nairobi and transfer to Comfort in for overnightbed/breakfast
Day 2; Samburu;
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Samburu National reserve crossing
the Equator and driving through changing terrain to the rugged
semi-desert region in the northern Kenya. Though harsh, it is
blessed with species rarely found elsewhere. arrive in time for
lunch at lodge. Afternoon game drive to search for the stars of
Samburu. Dinner and overnight at Samburu campsite.
Day 3; Samburu;
Full day in Samburu with game drives .Search for the rare liver red
reticulated giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Blue flanked Somali
Ostrich, Vulturine Guinea Fowl, Longneck Gerenuk. See braving lions
on the grass, Cheetah, Leopards among plenty of other plains game.
(optional visits to Samburu villages). All meals and overnight at
campsite.
Day 4; Lake Nakuru National Park;
Depart Samburu for Lake Nakuru via Thompson falls arriving in time
for lunch, afternoon game drive at the Pink lake referred so for
it's thousands of pink flamingos and other bird-life-it's a Bird
watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals, all the
"big five" except the elephant can be seen here, Dinner and
overnight at a budget hotel in Nakuru town.
Day 5.Lake Nakuru.
Full day in Lake Nakuru with game drivers, all meals and overnight
at the hotel
Day 6; Maasai Mara;
Morning game viewing at the Pink ,it is rhino sanctuary and a bird
watchers paradise, look for warthogs and water bucks as you leave
the Park. Breakfast at the lodge and depart for Maasai Mara crossing
the loita plains, see red clad maasai warriors tend their
multi-colored herds amongst plains game. Arrive Mara in time for
lunch. Game viewing enroute to Mara camp for lunch. Afternoon game
drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara campsite.
Day 7 .Maasai Mara National Reserve.
This is the day your dreams about maasai Mara comes true. Breakfast
at lodge and leave with picnic lunches for a full day game drive
inside the Park. Search for wild game black manned lion for which
Mara is famous for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard,
grants gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come out
of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend your drive to
the hippo point where schools of hippo submerge on the approach of
vehicles only to surface seconds later to shot and gamble their
displeasure as the crocodiles sunbathe on the river banks mouths
agape. Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages
for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals and
overnight at Mara campsite.
Day 8; Nairobi;
Morning game drive to savor the beauty of the park, breakfast at
lodge and depart for Nairobi arriving at around 1400 hours.overnight
at The Comfort inn.
Day 9.Arusha,
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Arusha arriving for lunch, rest of
day at leisure.overnight at a budget hotel in Arusha.
Day 10.Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha in the morning for Lake Manyara, arriving in time for
lunch. Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty gold
600-metre high Rift valley escarpments, Lake Manyara is a scenic
gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as the loveliest I
had seen in Africa. The compact game viewing circuit through Manyara
offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.
Afternoon game drive to explore the park. Dinner and overnight at
campsite.
Day 11. LakeMayara-Serengeti National Park
Enjoy one last game drive around Lake Manyara National Park, before
travelling to the world famous Serengeti, one of Africa's premier
game parks. Enjoy the multitude of animal and bird life while
cruising through the acacia-spotted savannah. Not only the "Big 5",
but animals such as antelope, giraffe, and zebra constantly roam
this vast expanse of Africa savannah. overnight at the camp.
Day 12.Serengeti
Morning and afternoon game inside the Park taking you to different
parts of the park famous for the annual migration when millions of
wildebeest (gnus) and zebra set off for maasai Mara in search of
better grazing grounds and water, search for numerous plains game.
Meals and overnight at Serengeti campsite.
Day 13.Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast and to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via the archeological
site of Olduvai Gorge. The views from the crater rim are stunning,
and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife, due to the
permanent water supply on the crater floor.dinner and overnight at
Ngorongoro Campsite
Day 14,Arusha
Venture down to the crater floor, and take in your final safari
experience viewing the high concentration of wildlife, including
zebra, gazelle, impala, and cheetah, bound by the crater walls.
After lunch, break camp and continue back to our hotel in Arusha for
your final night.
Day 15. Depart Arusha (B)
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight out or
transfer back to Nairobi.
