RTS-064; 7 DAYS THE ARK / MT. KENYA SAFARI CLUB/SWEETWATERS /SAMBURU
Day 1. The Ark.
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through farmlands of the Kikuyu people to reach the Ark-Aberdares, it resembles the biblical Noah's Ark. Lunch at Aberdares Country Club. Then embark on the half- hours to the Ark, A unique lodge overlooking a floodlit waterhole and saltlick attracting a host of
wildlife, elephant, rhino, leopard, bushbuck, elusive bongo, giant forest hog. Diner and overnight "on board " the Ark.
Day 2. Mt. Kenya Safari Club.
Breakfast at the Ark and depart for the Mt. Kenya Safari Club arriving in time for lunch. It's here where the Kenya's mountain shows her crown at dawn. Rest of the day at leisure-- Enjoy the clubs' facilities which include- Golf,
Tennis, Horseback trekking, William Holden Animal orphanage,
Croquet, Heated swimming pool, Trout fishing, Jogging circuits and Bird
watching. Dinner and overnight at the club.
Day 3. Mt. Kenya Safari Club.
Another day in the lovely lawns. Meals and overnight at the club.
Day 4. Sweetwater's.
Breakfast at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club and depart for Sweetwaters arriving in time for lunch at the
Sweetwaters tented camp, overlooks a floodlit waterhole offering visitors an unforgettable opportunity to view and shoot photographs of animals in their natural
habitat. Game drive in the sanctuary or walking safari escorted by a knowledgeable
ranger, bird-walks, camel safaris, or chimpanzee sanctuary observed from a boat on the Ewaso Nyiro
River, elephants, rhino among others reside here. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters tented camp.
Day 5. Samburu National Reserve.
Breakfast and depart for a journey to the northern part which is rugged
semi-desert, stop at the equator point to take pictures, arrive Samburu in time for
lunch. It is blessed with species rarely found elsewhere. Dinner and overnight at Samburu lodge / Larsen's camp.
Day 6. Samburu.
Morning and afternoon game drive. See the rare liver red reticulated
giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx. longneck gerenuk antelopes, Somali ostrich, Vulturine guinea fowl also
elephants, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, lion and bird-life is notable. Optional visit to Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at Samburu lodge / Larsen's camp.
Day 7. Nairobi.
Morning game drive, Breakfast at lodge and depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.

Day 1. Samburu National Reserve.

Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in micro-mini bus with pop up roof. The Park is blessed with species rarely found elsewhere like the liver red reticulated
Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Long neck Gerenuk, Blue flanked Somali
Ostrich, Vulturine Guinea Fowl and also elephants, Leopards in the
trees, African Buffalo, Cheetah, Braving Lions in the grass .Dinner and overnight at a Lodge.
Day 2. Samburu.
Another day to savor the beauty of the Park. Morning and afternoon game
drives. Optional visit to the Samburu Villages. All meals and overnight at a Lodge.
Day 3. Treetops.
Early morning game viewing in Samburu, Breakfast and depart for Treetops in the Aberdares National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Outspan Country Club.
Afternoon transfer to Treetops Lodge for floodlit game viewing.
Contains a variety of wild game among them Elephants, Rhino,
Leopard, Bushbuck, Elusive Bongo , Giant Forest Hog etc. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Lodge.
Day 4. Lake Nakuru National Park.
Pre-breakfast game viewing, Breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru still exploring the dramatic Rift
valley. Arrive in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of the gem in the necklace of the Rift Valley Lakes often referred as the Pink Lake for it's great masses of pink
flamingos. Opportunity to see millions of flamingos besides thousands of other
birds. Lake Nakuru is a Rhino Sanctuary and harbors other
wild-game like the Lion, Waterbucks, Buffalo, Warthog, Hippo etc. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.
Day 5. Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Morning game viewing in Lake Nakuru ,Breakfast and depart crossing the Loita Plains and viewing sceneries enroute, See red clad spear wielding
Maasai warriors tending their multi-colored herds among the presence of wild game giving a blind eye to the presence of big
predators, A single moran can cross the Mara Game Reserve only holding a spear and a stick on the other hand! arrive Mara for
Lunch. Afternoon game drive inside the Park which is the Kenya's best and most scenic. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Day 6. Maasai Mara.
Full day to savor the beauty of the Park which has a permanent supply of water thus harbor a thriving population of wild game. All the "Big Five" and lots of
gazelles, Topi, warthogs, Cheetah, Hyenas and even the rare Rhino might come out of the thicket for
you. Extend your drive to the Hippo pool where they submerge at the approach of a vehicle only to surface seconds later to short and gamble their
displeasure, Crocodiles sunbathe on the River banks mouths agape.
Optional visit to the Maasai villages for an insight to their culture.
All meals and overnight at a Lodge.
Day 7. Maasai Mara.
A full day to go searching for any wild-game you might have missed
previously. Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at lodge.
Day 8. Amboseli National Park.
Depart Maasai Mara after breakfast and drive via Nairobi for lunch and proceed to Amboseli at the foot of the impressive snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. arrive early evening, with game viewing in a pop-up roofed micro-bus enroute to the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at a Lodge.
Day 9. Amboseli.
Full day to explore and savor the beauty of this Park searching for elephants,
buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, zebra and the maasai
giraffe. Meals and overnight at a Lodge.
Day 10. Tsavo West National Park.
After breakfast depart for Tsavo West via Kyulu hills and shaitani lava flows and Mzima springs where from an underwater observation tank you can see submerged Hippo walking the floor of the springs.
Tsavo hosts the "Big Five" and plenty of other wild game. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.
Day 11. Tsavo East National Park.
Depart Tsavo West after breakfast and cross over to Tsavo East which is also well know for massive herds of elephants which are usually covered in red
dust, the man -eaters of Tsavo-lions are seen and plenty of
wildgame. Meals and overnight at lodge.
Day 12. Nairobi.
Early morning game drive, Return to lodge for breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving late
afternoon. safari ends.

lunch. Sweetwaters is in the slopes of Mt. Kenya and overlooks a floodlit waterhole offering visitors an unforgettable opportunity to view and shoot pictures of animals in their natural habitat. optional walking safari escorted by a knowledgeable
Ranger. Bird-walks, Camel safaris, Chimpanzee observed from a Boat on the Ewaso Nyiro River which supports other wild game like Elephants,
Buffalo, Baboon, Eland, Silver-backed Jackals, Ostrich, Rhino among
others. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 4. Treetops.
Early morning game viewing in Sweetwaters, Breakfast and depart for Treetops in the Aberdares National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Outspan Country Club.

watching, Rhino and Crocodiles are also seen. Lunch and proceed to Lake Bogoria which offers a great variety of wild game and Birds making it an ornithologists "paradise", Arguably the best in East
Africa. Also seethe shy greater Kudu, the majestic antelope with majestic spiraling
horns, Cheetah, Impala, Grants Gazelle. Water Bucks etc. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 6. Lake Nakuru National Park.
Pre-breakfast game viewing, Breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru still exploring the dramatic Rift

Lodge. Afternoon game drive in the Park. Dinner and overnight at a Lodge.
