RTST-068: 9 DAYS WILDLIFE LODGE SAFARI AND
ZANZIBAR BEACH HOLIDAY.
Day 1. Ngorongoro.
Depart Arusha for Ngorongoro arriving in time for lunch at lodge.
The conservation
area is administered by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority,
an arm of the
Tanzanian government, and its boundaries follow the boundary of the
Ngorongoro
Division of Ngorongoro District. It is 8,288 km². Dinner and
overnight at the lodge.
Day 2. Ngorongoro Crater.
Breakfast at the lodge and descend to the crater floor by a special
4WD vehicle for
a full day of game viewing, Picnic lunch taken at the crater, which
hosts an
unbelievable variety of wildlife. This is an experience to treasure
always. Ascend
back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3. Serengeti National Park.
Breakfast at lodge and depart Ngorongoro for vast Serengeti National
Park. Stop at
Olduvai Gorge-the site for the famous archeological finds by the
Leakey family.
Lunch at lodge in Serengeti. Afternoon game drive inside the park.
Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 4. Serengeti.
Breakfast followed by morning game drive to different parts of the
park. Serengeti
is famous for its annual migration when millions of wildebeest
(gnus') and zebras
set off for Maasai Mara for better grazing grounds and water.
Serengeti boasts of
more than 35 species of plains game including the "Big Five" as well
as extensive
bird life. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 5. Lake Manyara National Park.
Early breakfast in Serengeti and proceed to Lake Manyara National
Park. Lunch at
Lake Manyara Hotel. Afternoon game drive inside the Park, look for
and shoot a
picture of the curious tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara has a
marvelous
concentration of game including 350 species of birds. See the Simba
River populated with schools of Hippo and bird life. Dinner and
overnight at a lodge.
Day 6. Arusha.
Breakfast in Manyara and depart for Arusha arriving in time for
lunch .Board your
flight and cross the Indian Ocean to the historical Island of
Zanzibar "the spice
island". Overnight at Dhow Palace Hotel/Emerson & Green
Day 7. Zanzibar.
At leisure or visit places of interest including the rich
plantations of "Gold of
Zanzibar" Cloves. Zanzibar is still the best-kept secret in the
Indian Ocean, with
its fascinating historical Stone town and magnificent beaches.
Meals and overnight at Dhow Palace/Emerson & Green.
Day 8. Zanzibar.
At leisure/water sports. Zanzibar is a conservative, Sunni Muslim
society. Its
history was influenced by the Persians, Arabs, Indians, Portuguese,
British and the
African mainland. Stone Town is a place of winding lanes, circular
towers, carved
wooden doors, raised terraces and beautiful mosques. Important
architectural
features are the Livingstone house, the Guliani Bridge, and the
House of Wonders.
Meals and overnight at Dhow Palace/Emerson & Green.
Day 9. Arusha.
After breakfast at Dhow palace/Emerson & Green, board your flight
back to Arusha
from where you will depart to your next destination.

Day 1. Ngorongoro.
Depart Arusha for Ngorongoro arriving in time for lunch at lodge.
Ngorongoro crater
is the world's largest unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. The
Crater, which
formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself some
two to three
million years ago, is 610m deep and the floor is 260km² (102 square
miles).
Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from fifteen
to nineteen
thousand feet high. Dinner and overnight at the Campsite.
Day 2. Ngorongoro Crater.
Breakfast at the lodge and descend to the crater floor by a special

Animal population in
the crater include most of the species found in East Africa, but
there are no
impalas, topis, oribis, giraffes, or crocodiles. The crater floor is
mostly open
grassland with two small wooded areas dominated by Acacia
xanthophloea. In the
evening ascend back to the campsite for Dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Serengeti National Park.
Breakfast at Campsite and depart Ngorongoro for vast Serengeti
National Park. Stop at Olduvai Gorge- the site for the famous
archeological finds by the Leakey family. Arrive in time for lunch
at a Campsite in Serengeti. Afternoon game drive inside the park.
Known for its endless plains, Serengeti is most famous for its
annual migration of over one million white bearded (or brindled)
wildebeest and 200,000 zebra. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.
Day 4. Serengeti.
Breakfast followed by morning game drive to different parts of the
park. Serengeti

history and a fascinating culture. Meals and overnight at Dhow

Day 8. Zanzibar.
At leisure/water sports. The Island with its dramatic architecture,
meandering
lanes, luscious tropical fruits, aromatic spices and charming
friendly people. The
breathtaking beauty of its coastline and the magnificence of the
historical Stone
Town make Zanzibar one of the world's foremost touring destination.

Day 9. Arusha.
Board your flight back to Arusha from where you will depart to your
next
destination. Dinner and overnight at the Campsite.
